help with daves power supply
« on: August 22, 2013, 01:02:20 pm »
i decided to build daves power supply he was working on many months back. lol. i build only the PS bit with out all the digital control. now everything works ok i can set the voltage to anything and the current up to 1.5amps and even more, instead of LT3080 i have build a voltage regulator based on (jung-regulator-2000). it works perfectly with out any oscillation.

but when i set the current to anything below 900ma i can draw up to 900ma from the power supply. so say i set the current to 200ma and i check with a volt meter the current pot reads 200mv, when the current draw reaches 200ma the CC led comes on and the voltage of the regulator drops to 100mv but if i try to draw more i can up to 900ma, after 900 no mater how much current i set my dummy load to i can not get more.

now i have tested this with my regulator i build or with lm317. same thing.

can some one please help.

Lm334 directly on the output of the l 317 ? 10k in series with the input ?

Something is seriously wrong with this schematic ....
