Identify this part?
« on: March 02, 2019, 10:17:34 pm »
I got a bunch of parts from a friend recently.  Before becoming a patent attorney, he was doing RF design back in the 70s.  This is likely high-frequency RF transistor.  Dunno if it is MOS or Bipolar.  Looks like pretty heavy gold flash.  I did some google searching and will continue to do so...maybe somebody knows this part personally and can enlighten me.

Also in the stuff are some vintage 555s in TO-5 packages...pretty cool.  I tested one for grins...still works.

It was bit of a long shot, I knew he was a patent attorney and that Geller Labs was a side interest. Sorry I can't help with the ID but you might want to take precautions against Beryllium dust with '70s power RF parts... just in case.

For what it's worth: the logo is that of Fujitsu.

Spot on!

Looks like a RF/microwave power transistor.

Perhaps I should put these on ebay.  I don't do any significant RF stuff...certainly not where these would be used.

Thanks for the input!

60$ would not be unusual for microwave power transistors.

Don't mess around with them. First off, they are sensitive, and as Gyro said might contain beryllium or other nasties.
