Contact closure count on phone app via bluetooth?
« on: May 18, 2023, 01:39:39 am »
Rather than reinventing the wheel, does anyone know if the following might already be available? I want a cumulative (and maybe resettable) count of how many contact closures have occurred in a piece of equipment and that can be read via a phone or tablet app. Contact closures no quicker than maybe once every ten seconds.

You need to make a Bluetooth LE peripheral, with a service exposing the count attribute. IOS and Android can easily connect and read out the count. Can also receive notification, is the device has an event. A suitable MCU is https://www.adafruit.com/product/4481

The bottom line you’ll need to write code.
