Compact banana plug to female pin header adapter
« on: April 08, 2020, 07:54:09 pm »
Stuck at home, getting bored out of my mind, I came up with this silly little thing:

It could come handy in situations like:
  • powering breadboarded projects
  • connecting instruments' remote voltage sensing
  • sticking through-hole components (almost) straight into the multimeter

To make it more robust, drill out the banana covers to the diagonal dimension of the Dupont F. pin housing so you can recess that within the banana cover.

However, if the banana sockets are in proper binding posts, you really don't need the adapter.  Where it comes into its own is if you are hooking up to a DMM or similar that just has shrouded sockets, no posts.
