elr psu wo.

hi all im building this psu from an old magazine issue i found,the issue i have is after building it, c9 exploded and r23 fried,is there an issue with b1 ie bridge rectifier as it seems to have strange pinouts,is it a ballsup?,cheers in advance.

as in the pinouts of br1,seems wrong to me?

BR1's pinout is unusual,

Added: If you have a round type, the pins might be able to be bent to the correct position.

thatsw exactlly my issue,ie is it a missprint,i bent the legs of a bridge rectifier to natch the silkscreen but its wierd as to why the cap blewup,almost like the polarity was reversed ?

I can't see a link between BR1 being incorrectly wired and the other damage.
Harrison/floating designs can be tricky to make sense of.
Replace R23 with something higher like 470 ohms for now.

Extra: mains to the power transformer should be removed for initial tests.
Check the control rails and the reference voltage.
The outputs of both opamps should be high.

this is the only datasheet i can find for b1,should both center legs both go to ac?,i wonder if the pdf is a missprint?,would that cause the magic smoke?.

also forgot to mention the small transformer powering b1 got hot as well,as if it was shorted.

Or The orientation of the internal diodes can be checked with a DMM on Diode test, better if it makes diode beeps.
