TI 83+ Overclock revisted

Hi, I am wanting to overclock an old TI 83+. I while ago I asked about this on the forum but didn't get enough help to actually do the modification. Here is the link: https://www.eevblog.com/forum/projects/ti-83-overclock/msg56838/#msg56838
To summarize, I have not been able to find a datasheet on the MPU that is used in this version of the calculator. I am stuck until I can find a datasheet or until I get brave enough to start probing around with the scope. My fear in doing that is that I could potentially short something
