Hi,

Wy not build my "Low Cost, High Performance" Sinus Gen...
It is designed around a NE5532AN or if you want lower distortion higer frequentie range use a OPA2134.

Its stable
Almost no AGC bounce
Low Output Impedance,
Output voltage <1mv to 10V, 2 range.
Good level flatness
Low distortion
Sync output

Schematic

You need to make your own opto with a white LED and a LDR resistor.

If you want to know how to make de OPTO, take a look at my topic on this Dutch website, is has a lot of pictures how to make the OPTO.

Necessity is not an established fact, but an interpretation.

does anyone know of a simple, stable - and preferably cheap - circuit to generate sine waves up to at least 200Khz?

You need 3 wires to control an ad9850 module. A 8-pdip mcu can be programmed to do that, a potentiometer to control the output frequency. Fairly easy to do if you are willing to do some programming.

 Hi Blackdog,

 thankyou.

That looks well within my capabilities and is very much the sort of design I was hoping for.

 Good man.

If you want to know how to make de OPTO

Cut a short piece of straw and stick your LDR on one end and your LED on the other.

Done.
