Product idea. 'Watchdog' mains power timer.
« on: October 15, 2011, 06:36:41 am »
Hi all,

Just had a thought about a possible project.

This is basically just an adjustable timer circuit that cuts power if it hasn't been switched
off after a predetermined period.

This is NOT a countdown timer as such, just something that would start timing once power is applied
and shut off a relay if the timeout had elapsed.

I'm thinking uses like air conditioners, soldering irons, clothes irons, watering timers (even TV's etc.).

You can buy timer relays to do that.
