I am so sick of warranties. They developed counter measures towards reasonable refunds in alot of companies. Clearly they don't have the business needs to enforce their warranty but they feel like they have to advertise it on the website. I almost never factor it into making a purchasing decision because I assume some fucking business thug is gonna give me the run around

Last one I tried, the guy tries to get me to incriminate myself like some joke ass detective because their USB charging is bullshit.

I understand its my fault, because what I should have done, is got some epoxy putty and sealed up the USB feature on the device instead of plugging it into something lol... the only protection I got for myself is mimicking the behavior of a mud dauber wasp

I see positions such as "warranty support" being analogous to "enforcer".

I feel like the Joe Pesci of the 22nd century is gonna be involved in warranty claims. like that movie "the super". That is one of the positions in a company that is suited for a thug, because in management they accrue complaints with people that can't really 'get lost' easily and they get implicated. But with customers.... fat chance... especially if your making money. Employees get a fair bit of protection under the law, its easy to make a mistake if your trying to stiff them. But small customers... maybe if you get lucky something good will happen. Its always a 1 off with customers... hard to build a case.

I wonder if the cops did clean up the streets and cameras and phones made us safe from common crime, did the criminals just migrate into returns? it really got bad in the last 10 years IMO. I feel like returns on the street might even be more reliable, because they know they might get shot or something  ;)

The Deep Cycle Systems website is down. (503) and has been for at least the last 3 hours of writing this post.

Maybe the DCS lawyers got scared about what else might be on their website and took it down until they could review everything and remove any additional dodgy or incriminating statements.  :-DD

Maybe their server couldn;t keep up with the spike in traffic after the video released.

The site is back up for Australia only, the rest of the world is getting a 403 (unless using a VPN obviously). Go figure :-DD

I really hope Dave will pick up this topic in one of his next videos.

So, the short version is that another company makes extravagant claims for their product and thinks that all of their customers are IDIOTS that won't notice that the products don't perform as promised. But SOME of their customers are smart enough to be able to actually test the products and PROVE that the products don't perform as promised and they tell the world. Then the company hires a shyster (a.k.a. a Lawyer) in an attempt to bully the customer into withdrawing the review.

Where have I heard this story before?

PS: I just searched for DCS and I found their website www.deepcyclesystems.com.au but it is 403 in the US.

Confirmed.
Workes fine in oz, but if I use a European VPN, 403 error. Why do that?

Your first post covered it I reckon.

I'd say if intentional it's to just prevent access to those outside Australia who are unlikely to be a possible customer and more likely to call out bullshit?
