Just to the point of displaying a valid HSYNC and VSYNC, so it's only a blank screen now.

I'm looking forward to the next video. When it can read memory and display useful pixels.

Circuit Cellar magazine Nov 2004 had an article about implementing a VGA controller by Enoch Hwang.
As I recall it had an interesting idea about where to set the zero count to simplify the logic. Worth a read even if I mis-remember.
