St link utility with Nucleo F401RE

Hi

 

i have to modify the value of some registers to unable the ETM.

 

i'm using st link utility. I can search the address of my register but when i modify it's value i have an error, view the image.

It seems like you do not have access to the memory. It might be damaged, the cable to be damaged or the programming device.

Can you try to use another memory, another programmer or test the setup on another computer(virtual machine will also do) or check if the settings for this device are ok. Maybe its not getting VCC or ground on some pin that should be connected.

Hi

i'm using only tha cable USB - USBMINI.

When i linked my board i opened St Link i pushed the voice Target and after the voice Connect and the result is shown in the image.

In the image tool st link told me that is connnected with my board but if you see the Underlined part .. NORMAL CONNECTION. Is correct this type of connection if i want to modify the value of registers ?

I have to activate the card ETM and I found that I can edit the register ETMCR.
