Labtool 48 UXP and 68HC11A1
« on: May 29, 2024, 09:18:42 am »
Hi!
I read eeprom from 68HC11A1 and I need write it to new chip. but I ran into an unexpected problem:
The new chip has eeprom written with only 00. These are not FF, so it is not "empty". And the programmer shouts that the chip is not empty during programming. The "erase" button is inactive.
Can Labtool write eeprom in 68HC11A1? Do I have to make a circuit with max232?

68HC11A1 is a microprocessor chip.If you plan to use the Labtool 48 UXP, you may need a special adapter.
Or you can make your own adapter,There are adapter wiring diagrams on the Internet, you need to search

Maybe I didn't write clearly: I have an adapter, I connected the processor to Labtool through it and I can read the eeprom but I can't save it, I described it all in the first post. That's why I'm asking if Labtool can program eeporm in hc11 or it can only be done using a dedicated max232 system (I saw a diagram somewhere).

Is your MC68HC11A1 code [C11W]?In other words, is it the processor chip used in the car?
If yes, please use XPROG-box

Is 68HC11A1 used in audio equipment (amplifier), not a car.
Does this mean that the A1 version cannot be programmed in Labtool?

To be precise, there is a code under the MC68HC series MCU model. You should find it according to the code.
I remember this series of MCUs have internal integrated EEPROM and FLASH,And there may be encryption.
Labtool can only read and write unencrypted files, that's why I suggest you try XPROG-box.

You need to read the data sheet to know
