CH32V003 to PCF8574 Help needed

I'm trying to get the CH32V003 to talk to a PCF8574 but I'm completely stuck.
I don't know if it's just me being old and stupid.
Does anyone have a bit of code that can help me get started?

The best source is github. Search PCF8574 there, you'll find plenty of code!
