Attinyxx26 SPI not turning on TFT screen
« on: January 31, 2022, 05:25:14 pm »
Hi. I'm trying to get an attiny1626 to communicate with a 2" TFT screen over SPI(using megaTinyCore in the arduino IDE). The screen is equivalent to this adafruit screen with the same size, resolution, and ST7789 controller. I got an arduino nano to work with adafruit's example code & GFX Library, but when I edit the pins to match what I'm using on the attiny1626, the backlight turns on, but nothing else happens. The SPI is operating at 1MHz, and I already turned on an oscilloscope to look at the clock, data, SS, Reset, and backlight pins and all of the signals seem to be on the right pins and the signals seem clean i.e. clean square waves with no major spikes or signal noise. I can get access to a logic analyzer to see what the attiny is sending compared to the arduino nano, but I feel like I'm just throwing stuff at a wall to see what sticks at this point. Any other things I should be checking beforehand?
