I have a Mircosemi SyncServer S250 right now, and what I am trying to do is write some (java) code so that when the S250 generates a 1PPS signal, it sends my computer the time of this 1PPS pulse.

Anyone have any experience with this? Or any ideas as what to do?

Also, in general, how do you get the discrete pulse time report over an Ethernet connection?

why not have the pc pull an ntp request, then backdate the pulse?

How do you backdate the pulse via an NTP request? Couldn't find any info in the user guide. I am getting the device on monday so don't have much experience using it.
