Patek clock setting in HP5061A and HP5065A
« on: October 27, 2023, 09:01:49 pm »
Hi,

I recently installed the Patek mechanical clock into an HP5065A I'm repairing.

If you have ever reached in to set the mechanical Patek clocks you know that it is a bit difficult and requires a bit of dexterity especially in the HP5065A!  |O

It also requires pulling the top cover and sliding out of a rack if mounted.

The glass bezel unscrews to give access to the hands from the front, any one know if it's OK to set these clocks by advancing the hands manually?

It sure would be easier! :)

Cheers,

Corby

Find a clock repair forum that deals with Patek Philippe.  Post the question along with a bunch of photos of the internal mechanism and any Patek Philippe labels and see what happens.  If the HP version is based on a standard model, you might find someone who will recognize it and will be able to make at least an educated guess.  But they might need to see the clock in person to be sure.
