Just wondering if there are any open source Fluke Connect equivalents?

TBH, even just a decoded data stream is fine, I can use Excel! ;)

Also, can someone explain the real limitations on Fluke Connect for a hobbyist (will a subscription ever be necessary?)

Try this one (I don't have a Fluke, but I guess it's supported):  https://www.eevblog.com/forum/testgear/program-that-can-log-from-many-multimeters/

I remember some Fluke models were also supported by sigrok/pulseview:  https://sigrok.org/wiki/Supported_hardware

Cool, but I'm not sure if any of those programs would recognize a Fluke Connect protocol (Bluetooth, probably BLE).  These modern Fluke DMMs don't have RS232.

You can probably "intercept" the data stream with a Bluetooth terminal app, but it's probably not in a useful form!  ::)

When I get my 377FC, I'll noodle with it and see if the data stream is accessible.
