Help ID-ing Elektor sig gen

Hi all,

Can anyone point me to the proper name and/or schematic for this piece of kit (maybe the issue of elektor magazine in which I can find out more about it, if anyone remembers it that specifically)?
A friend bought it for me off ebay and will send it my way in a couple of days, but when he tried testing it, he ran into what appears to be a coupling issue, and I'd like to find out more before I go digging around in its innards. So far, all I have is this picture, and another few with the case off. No markings anywhere on it. Will post more in repairs once I receive the package, if anybody's interested

Looks like another XR2206 variation. Try this:

Should resolve to January 1985 edition of Elektor.
