Any price info or distributors known yet?
Well, for our US members (thet is you @rhb
, a phone will not hurt or cost too much:
Call: +1-949-783-7300 | Fax: +1-949-783-7301
www.suntsu.comSuntsu Electronics, Inc.142 TECHNOLOGY DR., SUITE 150IRVINE, CA 92618
In EU there is a small PR and marketing research fight between distributors to see who will get the EU distribution account, now in the phase "oooohhh, look a this shiny new thing, please contact us for pricing and availability...", I'm pretty sure that the price in EU will be x2 the US price plus VAT.
Also "inside sources" are saying that our Californian friends also have a marketing campaign, samples for "influencers in the industry", hint, hint
.
The EU main contenders are:
CompoTEK (links in German)
https://www.compotek.de/news/suntsu-mit-unglaublich-stabilem-rubidium-oszillator/Klamm
https://www.klamm.de/news/1000-fach-h-here-stabilit-t-als-herk-mmliche-ocxos-suntsu-mit-unglaublich-stabilem-rubidium-oszillator-4N1001883.htmland some other smaller guys, that will end being resellers and VARs, by putting a case, sockets, and the latest OLED display, and of course the price will jump to 3000EUR.
The monstrously expensive module that @james_s encountered was most likely this beauty, launched in 2013:

https://www.iqdfrequencyproducts.com/products/details/iqrb-1-4-01.pdfAnd finally a tactical boot anchor form US Military (the Tactical Rubidium Frequency Standard (TRFS), gosh this sounds expensive), for fun and educational reading:

Cheers,
