Fluke 87v calibration cost and where
« on: September 21, 2024, 10:02:28 pm »
I'm not sure if my meter might need calibration or not. Just checking on average cost and, where to have it done. Thanks!

Depends on where you live. I would suggest you look for a lab with 17025 accreditation.

I doubt calibration will be that much. They are fairly generic.

I have yet I to see a 87V that is outside specifications. Usually its leaky batteries or blown fuses I get.

Also have you looked at getting your own references, maybe a 6.5 digit multimeter.... bwhahahaha

So everyone is clear, Calibration = Taking Measurement against a known source, Verification = Checking Calibration against Specification, Adjustment = Adjusting the unit to be within specifications.

Tektronix, Simco, Transcat is probably the biggest cal labs in USA. Z540 calibration should be around $80 or so
