ESI AC/DC Generator/Detector 865A - manuals, schematics?
« on: March 11, 2022, 07:48:49 pm »
I know there are a lot of people here who like the ESI stuff

I got a ESI 865A "as is" but had to find out that someone was in (and destroyed traces with bad soldering skills and so on).

So I´m looking for a service manual, schematics etc. but didn´t found anything in the usual places.

anyone?

No idea. But based on the name it sounds like it might have been part of an ESI Impedance Bridge.  Have you looked into that?  I know that there were several generator/detectors available for the ESI 250 DA bridge. They were all of a similar design but used different value components and were designed to operate at different frequencies. But the 250 service manual lists the value of all of the components of the different model generator/detectors. If you can find what ESI model used the 865A  then that manual may at least give you the component values.

yes, it seems to be designed to be a part of an ESI bridge (see first post, I uploaded some pictures).
But I didn´t found a bridge documentation with that part. Also the ESI250 is completely different.

Search for "ESI Impedance Measuring System".

The problem is that so many versions of the generator-detector was made. The passive bridge section didn't change, but the evolution in active electronic components was fast.
