Hoo boy... that's an idea whose time came and went a couple decades ago.

As much as I love Home Improvement  (it was a favorite when I was a teen just "wishing for a normal life") for its generally positive and tolerant message... and watching it again with my son is a favorite guilty pleasure... this thing feels like just show & tell for random Monster Garage wannabes. Maybe a fishing expedition for Discovery Channel to see if they can find the next American Chopper...

Yeah, plus, I always liked the original Heidi :)

There's another great machinist who does in various machining things and also makes own tools in their Stefan way.

Lastly, there's one underappreciated machinist YouTube.

Keith Rucker   (vintagemachinery.org)

https://www.youtube.com/c/KeithRuckerVintageMachineryorg/videos

Most of his videos are about restoring and using old/vintage machinery.
He did a great series on restoring an 1890s New Haven metal planer.

Seriously worth a watch for nerd value  ;)

Not a lot of content yet but some very well explained videos on CNC Routers and Lathes. Seriously worthy of way more subs.

Just stumbled over this YT-channel:
https://www.youtube.com/c/MachiningandMicrowaves/videos

A cross-over of machining things and playing around with RF.

Example:

“Chaos is found in greatest abundance wherever order is being sought. It always defeats order, because it is better organized.”            - Terry Pratchett -

Burn the witch! Burn the witch!

(I'm just sore because they wouldn't let me in the RF brotherhood. They said that my robe wasn't black enough, and that I had to at least sacrifice a rabbit, and the one they gave me was sooo cute, and wrinkled it's nose at me and I refused. Fluffbun escaped with me and is now running his own small but successful audio repair business.)
Anybody got a syringe I can use to squeeze the magic smoke back into this?

A few that I can't see have been mentioned that I know of:

Edge Precision https://www.youtube.com/c/EdgePrecision (CNC, extremely informative, shows setups, the thought process of going about coming up with a machining strategy and figuring out what tooling is required, making custom tooling like custom profile cutters, machining intricate parts with deep holes, intersecting deep holes, etc)

Cutting Edge Engineering https://www.youtube.com/c/CuttingEdgeEngineeringAustralia (shows the whole process of making a particular part using manual machines, and repair work to what is usually mining equipment. Also talks about tooling/machinery/equipment)

Allistairc132 https://www.youtube.com/user/allistairc123 (welding, air arc gouging, oxy-acetylene cutting, repairing large broken things, has recently put a lot of effort into producing some high quality longer videos such as )

Fireball Tool https://www.youtube.com/c/FireballTool (can't really sum this one up apart from being really interesting, the next video to be uploaded is always a pleasant surprise as to the subject matter, and something not covered before)

CNCFrezar https://www.youtube.com/c/cncfrezar (mostly work on a large CNC gantry mill but shows other work)

Chris Maj https://www.youtube.com/c/ChrisMaj (large CNC work, vertical turning too)

TheMetalRaymond https://www.youtube.com/c/ELMETALRaymondMenendez (mostly work on a large manual horizontal boring machine)

JamesPark_85 https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3mbksW8n2ipLL8_MhDSA8A (various machining, usually large, often titanium)

David Wilks https://www.youtube.com/user/userwl2850 (lots of large manual lathe work, trepanning deep holes in shafts made of exotic materials such as inconel, although he hasn't posted anything in a while - hope he's OK)

That'll do for now  ;D

Someone has built a huge lathe from scratch, using basic power tools:

Random YouTube recommendation for the day after rewatching a RobRenz video on spindle rebuilding.
