SMD equivalent for this possibly obsolete transistor
« on: October 11, 2020, 07:28:06 pm »
I'm trying to reverse engineer a small board from a proximity sensor. The only thru-hole component on it is a 2SC2655 transistor. While there are many versions out there, I haven't found any with the "WH-Y" marking on them.

Any help deciphering the meaning of that marking and what smd equivalent could be used would be hugely appreciated!

Much thanks!

I'd go to a disti and use their search criteria to match the key characteristics.  My guess it's not too critical as that looks like a switching application.  Anyway, here's what Mouser gave me https://www.mouser.com/Semiconductors/Discrete-Semiconductors/Transistors/Bipolar-Transistors-BJT/_/N-ax1sh?P=1z0z7ptZ1z0y4diZ1y95l6hZ1z0wa4fZ1z0wajc&Rl=ax1shZgjdh6cZ1z0w6i4Z1y9nhcjSGgjdhp0Z1yw7z6yZ1yw7ztcSGT
