Hey everyone,

I wanted to share something that might be of interest to those of you working with custom wire harnesses. My team and I recently launched a website called HI-Harnesses, and it's geared towards making the process of designing and documenting custom wire harnesses a lot easier.

One of the key features is that you can create and document your harnesses for free using our online tool. We aim to make the process as intuitive as possible, especially for those who may need quick documentation or just want to experiment with different designs.

Another useful feature is the ability to get instant quotes on any designs you create using our tool. If you're happy with your design, you can purchase it right away, which will save time compared to traditional quoting processes.

We're also focused on continually expanding our supported parts catalog and adding more features based on user feedback, so if you have any suggestions or ideas, we'd love to hear them!

If this sounds like something you'd find useful, feel free to check out the site and let us know what you think. We're excited to grow and improve with the input from the community.

Looking forward to your thoughts and feedback!

Yup! WireViz has done an amazing job at playing a key role in our tool's backend. We plan to make something of our own eventually with more features but for now, WireViz has worked well.

This looks cool, and something that I'd love to use (I had been playing with WireViz too), but I am reasonably unlikely to be ordering from you as I am in Australia.   :-[

I'm watching the tutorial video and note that you mention being in dev mode, and thus having a "lite" catalog right now.
Will you take requests for adding additional reasonably common connectors to the library... from users like me?

Off the top of my head example: JST XA series (I'm fond of these because they have wire-to-board and wire-to-wire styles).
I already see XHP & PHR in the catalog, but obviously the XA series has more items.  Not sure if you have some clever automation happening to onboard a new connector series.

I also see only a small range of specific ring terminals & ferrules, but no fork terminals.  What about adding some JST ring, fork, spade terminals?

And pretty please support metric measurements (mm) for lengths.   :-DD

Another suggestion.  With the handy automatic one-to-one connection feature, provide an option for reverse ordering.

Simple example for two 4-pin connectors:
1 - 4
2 - 3
3 - 2
4 - 1

Thanks Kean! We're open to taking requests from anyone. The goal is to make a tool that's useful to as many people as possible. We'll add the JST XA and some more ring, fork, and spade terminals to our to do list. It’s a pretty manual process making the drawing with the pinout details, but these parts are similar enough to things we already support it should go quick. An option to enter units in mm and reverse ordered 1:1 connections is a great idea too!
