Advice for Arduino/Raspberry Pi
« on: January 25, 2024, 07:12:42 am »
Greeting,
The intention is to have a robotic arm and a sorting machine work together. The items will be picked up by the robotic arm, and they will be sorted by the sorting machine based on size, shape, function, color, or other criteria, utilizing Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and several sensors. Essentially, various items such as bolts, screws, plants, fruits, vegetables, defective items, metal from plastic, cotton, and fabric can be sorted by this system.
The goal is to identify an industry where the collaborative use of the robotic arm and sorting machine can effectively address and solve an existing problem.
If the consideration is to use the arm and sorter, which industry would be advisable to choose, and why?
Thank you.

You usually design a machine to solve a particular problem.  Or if you have part of the solution, you then find a problem and design a machine to solve the problem starting with what you have.
From your description, it sounds like you have no solution nor an identified problem to solve!

This sounds like a school project...

If you want to classify with camera image using deep learning algorithm you may want to use a sbc like nvidia jetson or better.

This smells like a homework assignment.
