Connector crimp pins
« on: September 10, 2024, 09:58:24 am »
Hi,
any idea where to get this housing and male crimp pins? The crimp pin is approx 20mm (0.8") long (total length) and I need to replace them because they corroded and the housing cracked. The pitch is 2.54mm (0.1"). I would like to replace them with exactly same model. I searched Mouser with no luck. Thanks

Martin

What is the pitch?
It looks a bit like a Molex KK 254 series housing, but I've never seen male crimp pins for them.

Oh, sorry, the pitch is 2.54mm (0.1"). FYI, this is mating connector (on the PCB). TBH I would replace it too, it has corroded also.

I don't recognise the mating connector, but there are so many unique connectors especially in 0.1" pitch which has been around for decades.

Not sure of your intentions, but can you just replace it with another 2.54mm pitch connector like from the Molex KK series?

If you cannot find male pins, then something I often do is use header pin strip with extra long pins, and use that as a gender changer.
