Are Madell Reflow Ovens reliable?
« on: May 23, 2012, 12:51:50 am »
Hello, I work for a startup in México and my boss is about to buy a Madell Reflow Oven (MD-F530-C) and I want to make sure he won't screw things up, as I would be the one that deals with the problems that could arise. Do anybody have an idea of their quality, reliability? I see that the model he's interested comes in 2 flavors: IR+Convection and Full Convection what are the differences?

Thank you very much in advance.

Convection uses an element that radiates heat. This means it heats the surrounding air which then heats up your board.

IR elements emit infra-red light that heats up objects that absorb the IR light.
