Any australian online shop to buy Owon scopes?

Hi there,

Is there a good online shop or company based in Australia who sells Owon DS8102 scope (100 MHz/ 10M record length)?
I don't have much trust on ebay or foreign online shops.
 
I saw Trio smart cal online shop sells 300 MHz version for $999, but I don't have that much of money. My budget is ~$500.
I know Rigol is available for ~$400, I really need the battery powered operation. I need to take the scope with me for the work when I travel outside for field work...

Could anyone suggest a good Aussie shop to buy this one?

I bought my Owon CRO in Dec from Aidetek, which are based in Australia - Sydney I think.  Took 3 days to get here in Forster, NSW, which is excellent considering that was just before christmas.

You can access their store through eBay, where they trade as SMTZone

Hmm... I just checked it out myself.
It appears they are based in New Jersey, USA; and the item listings I've looked at reflect that.

I haven't used them and can't comment on the price, but just keep an eye out for shipping costs if it's coming from the other side of the world.

They drop ship most items direct from Rigol/Owon etc. My DS1052E from them came direct from Rigol asia, through a shipment place over east and Australia Post to WA.

This whole thread looks like an advertisement for Owon and Aidetek then on perfect timing Chinese tech support arrives.

Yeah, get it from Trio. Then you have a local warranty and support. If your 'scope for work' dies you don't want to have to send it back to Asia or wait weeks for a replacement. Plus if you're buying it for work purposes it should be a tax deduction (etc).
