VC99 - what does VR6 adjust
« on: January 08, 2021, 07:34:24 am »
Hi wondering if anyone can help me. I had to replace a fuse in my Vc99 meter yesterday and when putting it back together I put a screw through the hole behind the VR6 pot. damaging that POT.

Any long story short I now need to replace that pot. It is marked 502 so it looks like a 5k preset which is easy enough to get but I honestly dont know what I need to set it to (ie what does it calibrate). Would anyone know what measurement I need to be testing when I try set it to something reasonable? Or perhaps if someone has a schematic for this meter I can figure it out.

Thanks in advance.

In case anyone is interested - turns out it is the temperature calibration. New 5k pot and calibrated at room temperature and 100 degrees C and it is good enough for me.
