Btw, right side means "inside". Outside means "left side" - this can be seen by others while drinking coffee (right-handed people).

As for phones while visiting the US ...
I usually go with the t systems prepaid monthly plus the call home option for 10 bucks. Gives me unlimited calls, loss data plus unlimited calls home for about 60 dollars.
Works fine with Google phones, I usually grab a used prev gen pixel from craigslist upon arrival and continue using it until it falls apart. That way I hat a sacrificial phone that doesn't hurt me financially or in case of loss.
If you are in need, I have a pixel and pixel xl that I could send you.
