That actually isn't the typical American date format. We usually May 31, 2003 or 05/31/03.

You know, that made me realize something interesting:  At 7 watts, the rotisserie motor is rated to consume the same power as one of those C9 bulbs.

Does anyone remember when they shaved two watts off the C9 and C7 bulbs and lowered the power consumption down to 7 and 5 watts respectively?  I think it was in the late 80s or early 90s.  I remember reading about how it would save a lot of electricity but without a huge reduction in brightness when the change was made but I don't recall exactly when that took place.



I did get out the U1461A and tested conductor to conductor insulation strength on the chewed up damaged string I removed from the back yard the other day.  I guess I should go conductor to outside of the cable and see how strong the insulation is that way just out of curiosity.

I would've guessed that motor at considerably more, even considering it's just a little pancake induction motor. Huh.

No idea as to when the above shaving took place. Sounds like they did it dry.

No, it is inside out.

I use yyyy-mm-dd everywhere (for its collation properties) unless an alternative is specified. If people complain I merely note that it is standard format as specified in ISO8601. So are all other formats, but they don't realise that and it is beside the point .

Crap I completely failed at setting a group bid correctly in Gixen.

Was first bidding on some unobtanium power sensor cables and then a lot for the power sensors. So I ended up loosing for the cables but then Gixen still bidded and won the lot for the probes

Anyone any experience with Scalextric? Got some track for the price of postage from an Autoshite forum member, now I keep buying bits...

Anyway, I'm after information on the motor ratings. They look like those little 1.5-4.5V jobbies, but seem to run at up to 15V.

I have to confess at being tempted to try and shoehorn a 380 motor in there.

Mainly because I'm fairly sure a 540 motor won't fit...

far from a TTi, but i found a 20,- Trio a few weeks before, which was actually quite nice.

When in Dublin last year I felt somewhat uncomfortable with the traffic on the wrong side of the road. Made crossing as a pedestrian a little bit awkward.

Add that to the reaction of the folks at the world religion center at DCU when I asked them about the True Gods. They obviously never heard of Odin, Thor, Freya, Heimdall, ...
