After punching holes in the S38 chassis with a greenlee conduit punch and barely avoiding disaster, I decided to look for a set of "radio chassis" punches on ebay.
Yeah I know.
Radio punches? Chassis? Whaddya thinking, this isn't 1964! Here, at the
workbench lost in time, it apparently is.

The prices were nutty for partial sets. And single punch asks were crazier. But it is ebay, right? So I just made offers at what I thought to be reasonable (confirmed by looking at sold punch prices). The first seller wrote to tell me he was insulted by my offer, so I knew I was on the right track.

It took me a couple of hours of back-and-forth with a couple of sellers but I found eight of the nine punches I wanted, all in good to excellent condition, for less than ninety bucks with shipping.
Plus I will have a fun couple of days cleaning them and figuring out how to build a case to house them. What more could a guy ask?
