@Zucca Ender FTW!

Ok looks like I didn't blow up the NanoVNA. The SMA connector I was using had a Chinesium fracture. I ran the cal cycle on the NanoVNA and it was fine. Phew!

Well the RF amp is well and truly buggered. It's only a small signal front end amplifier but the damn thing doesn't work. It worked perfectly in LTspice and on the NanoVNA for about 2 mintues. One min it's pulling 20mA, next minute 8mA and the thing is toast. I have replaced every part and it's still damn pulling 8mA. I built the entire amp again with new parts and it's pulling 8mA fine but only 3dB of gain not 15dB. Can't figure it out. I tried tuning it with a receiver to see if it's oscillating - nothing. Probing it with scope / finger - nothing.  >:(

It actually forward biases an LED successfully by 0.8V by the looks which is a big WTF. Unless it's oscillating at 400MHz+ or something which a PN2222A shouldn't be able to do.

Are you sure it's a PN2222A?  Just sayin'

* worsthorse wanders out of range.

Yeah that batch was legit from RS. I woke up this morning and have come to the conclusion the design sucks so I’m going to switch it out for a W7ZOI design instead.

Edit, here it is. The batteries died years ago and I suppose I could get in there and change them.

I replaced the batteries on my PULSE CD case, a few weeks ago. The battery support is reversed,  :wtf: at least on my CD case and since I had forgot that issue, there was some head scratch before I realyse that once again.

In the first 6 months to a year another couple of 0.4 nozzles and another bit of Capricom tube. The rest is unlikely. Check locally you should find PLA in the colours you want for less $ too. Glass Bed  :-+

I have a bunch of resistors 10k 5W.
Connected to 230V AC line that is a pretty good heater of 5W.
So 6 of them between 2 Aluminium sheets to become a 30W Heater for my chili seed boxes.
The little corns need 28°C. I will build 3 heaters now.
one month later the little chilis can go out in the room for normal temperature, when they have 4 libs.

Test gear: John Fluke, 2190A with K Type sensor.

I have some chili from india, spicy,
some from thailand, hot,
Jalapeno from mexico, spicy,
and the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion Chili, skull, 2 mill. scovilles  :-+
baby water melones, some cocktailtomatoes...

all to seed now. The climatic change provides some hot things in the garden

I'd be saved by the shipping costs, in that circumstance...

I see so much nice gear from Fluke and Keithley etc at nice prices, then I look at the shipping costs from the US and I go away and cry inside a little...

My garage isn't too damp - but it would be other things that get dumped out there.  Test gear stays in the house - maybe stashed somewhere generally inconvenient - but in the house.

From the above assembly vid, looks like it'll be a bit more involved than the Tornado/CR10; this may seem a bit daunting for a first build, but if you watch the vid several times BEFORE you start, you should be good to go. Still DEFINITELY a cakewalk compared to assembling a Kossel and getting it aligned/leveled.   |O  Your reward for the extra work will be a much more stable, precise platform than the CR10/Tornado, which should be good to much closer tolerances and inherently less prone to runout.

Congratulations!
