BU508A, I got this one if you want. Diameter is 24.10mm and shaft is 6.40mm

Thank you for your kind offer, but I would check out first this hamfest in Weinheim (weekend 7th / 8th of September) if I could find anything that fits.

Thanks again,

Mounty

The comment below the line was the set up for a joke. You were meant to ask how much, then i give some ridiculous monetary value or perhaps even your soul. Also a quarter is 24.26mm

Yeah, I have to recalibrate my humor detector unit.  ;)

And thanks for the info.

Cheers,

Mounty

"Memo to self: do not become a voltnut."

I explicitly tried that technique, with insufficient success :(

In my case some functional 70yo saturated Weston Cells were the gateway to hell.

Mine was the LTFLU-1, mysterious unit, no datasheet  etc.
There you go ...

I'd like to share two pieces of advice here for our UK readers...

1. Never buy anything that is RS Pro branded.
2. Never buy any die cast boxes that aren't Hammond branded.

Just got me the worst turd I've ever seen. Lid is bent and doesn't shut and the walls are dented and the whole damn thing is bent. Also none of this was the postman's fault.

Have you ever tried the die cast boxes from RND Components, available @Reichelt?
Bopla, ROSE and Fischer electronic are good as well. Imho.

Not tried those yet. Our availability is pretty limited on these here. We are saturated with Hammond, Camden Boss and shit from China. I occasionally order from TME so might have a look there too.

Edit: this box is supposed to be IP66 rated (strong water jets) as it's going outside but I can slide paper in the side of it when the lid is screwed down hard ffs  :palm:

Made by "simbo" in China. RMA'ed the fucker already. It's a joke.

A lot of the hammond ones are actually Eddystone ones (same dies and Eddystone logo). Those were always the best.

Anyway, lunch time fixing session. Still waiting for the damn LM723 to turn up but got the Molex connectors. Reworked HP 1740A board. Not pretty and I had to gouge and fill some stuff but it's electrically ok now. Will conformal coat the new copper runs later once I've powered up the board and checked it out. Conductor clearance and soldering is better than it looks in the pictures!

I'm going to check that square bridge rectifier temperature once the scope is powered up and may add a little heatsink to it.

That’s the one! Thank you. I may take you up on that offer if I can’t find one here. Will PM you.

Edit: more research - that isn't the one. It needs pins on the bottom as well as top :(

I have to disagree. Some decent rebranded kit is sold under RS Pro.

Would this fit?

Edit:
Are you sure it is a NE15, not a NE18 by any chance?

I think NE18 appears to have superseded the NE15. That is the right format though but without tie bar.

Have managed to solve the problem though, for a slightly grumblesome tenner: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/202251155171

I will buy one when I've got the LM723 in and I'm 100% sure it's not going to end up a parts mule. Not before  :-DD

Edit: Even cheaper! Looks like there's a thousand different things about right: https://www.rapidonline.com/rvfm-pt-m3bl-pcb-power-switch-locking-dpst-m3-hole-78-0069

I would try to re-use the tie bar with the new switch. Having done this in the past. Works well, if one is careful with the bending.

Good luck with the 10 Pound switch, hope it will fit.  :-+  :)

Yes, that is exactly the knob. In my case the one for the "Rear - Front" switching.
Much appreciated if you can find one. Thanks.  :-+

My mistake. It’s all rusty crap. Or do they remove that during the rebranding process?
