The standard XO:
It's just there for making the counter work, obviously! Completely useless in a precision instrument like this!
It's there for customers who will use their own reference put into "reference in" only and don't need (and want to pay for) a local XO at all.
I'm fine with that basically because I've got my own 10MHz reference to syntonize my timenuttery-related Test Gear.
The second bumper on the bottom plate of the power supply module is also disintegrating, I'll replace that as well. It's looking good on the photo but I rubbed material off of it by just slightly touching it!
After putting it back all together here's the back plate:
Obviously the unit has no mark for Option 124 on it:
I'm happy that it has it.
That's it for the moment. No comes some playing around with different software compatible to the 53132A to see what it's capable of and useful for.
