Currently boot time is around 40 sec.
Boot time is highly variable, depending on FW version, and state the scope was before shutdown.
If you enable 4 math channels, zoom, measurements, decoding and shutdown in that state, then it is 50 sec to boot...
Which is beside point. It is twice as fast as other scopes I have.
My Keysight 3104T boots for 110 seconds..
But all of that is irrelevant. Scope needs some 10-20 minutes to reach working temp.
And I use it as primary troubleshooting tool nowadays. With these new 12 bit scopes DC accuracy approaches many 6000 count DMM, and in AC accuracy are superior instrument. You can instantly see waveform shape and within seconds look at timings frequencies etc.. All time running frequency counter is good enough to see if your µC project has proper clock.
You can have have dozens of measurements on screen at same time. If you enable histicons, you can have 5 measurements and it statistical distribution all there on the screen at the same time...
"Hm, that pulse width is not stable, and gets grouped in two distinctive peaks... That's not right... let me see.."
Nowadays, I fire up scope first, before any other instrument.
These new 12bit scopes are THE ultimate multimeter for looking at the signals..
I reach for multimeter only if I need better DC accuracy, or resistance measurements, or continuity....
