Sometimes dealer websites do not provide links to the latest upgrades so we are best to use the official Siglent websites.
V1.6.2R5 is the latest SDS2000X Plus firmware version.

Hello, will be there any potential risk for update from 1.6.2R1 to 1.6.2R5? I have a SDS2074X(and already hack to SDS2504X).
could you help me? or any others have verify this update.

normally Siglent does not block any "hack" done before fw updates

done many fw updates on our Siglents,  no problems so far

It's not actually a hack. The numbers used are the same numbers Siglent would provide to you. There's nothing for new firmware to block or care about.

There's a new option for SDS2000X Plus, fw 1.6.2R5: ARINC.

• If the hack is applied to the SDS2104X Plus (100MHz), I think I need to upgrade to first to 250MHz and so on. What is the highest bandwidth that can unlocked for this scope?
• I would like the I2S decode, does the hack also unlock that?

1. Front-end can be based (for example) on LMH6518. Read the datasheet.

Are there any problems that I will run into if I try any updating, and what should I update. I have to admit I'm at a loss on how to go about it!

Uboot needs updating tp 5.4
It’s done at boot like a recovery package, just follow instructions:

None at all.


If we look closely at FW revisions and their notes we often see mention HW version compatibility and even small HW changes are happening regularly so all FW versions need to be compatible.
Nothing at all to worry about.

No, don't.  This does not work.  Apply the 350MHz license first, then the 500Mhz.  They do different things and both are required.

There is a reason why there is no direct upgrade from 100 to 500 or 200 to 500.

If you just install the 500MHz license, your scope, while not broken, will not work properly.

Of course, you can just ignore me if you like.  Have fun!
