Peak Atlas ESR70 kept giving high ESR reading

Hi,
My Peak Atlas ESR70 consistently kept giving high ESR reading.
I tried to compensate probes but it just ALWAYS fails.
Readings for 1 and 10 Ohm resistors are every time wrong.
Lately, ESR readings are all higher than 40 Ohm.
Did someone encounter this problem?

Never seen this with mine.  I suspect damage due to measuring a charged capacitor above the threshold (it can do a controlled discharge within limits).
