I recently purchased a Tenma 72-8345a power supply from MCM Electronics. It may be sold by Farnell / Element 14 in other countries. I'll do a review of it later, but at this point I am trying to decide whether to keep it -
I found that the current is only adjustable down to 150mA. Is that normal? This is my first "real" power supply so I have nothing to compare it to.
Other than that the specs are reasonable - 1-36V, 0-3A (so it claims! It should say 0.15-3 A), switchmode. Price: $150. In my initial tests with a 6V motor (which is what I was trying to current-limit at 50 to 100 mA) both the displayed volts and amps were reasonably close to my multimeters; if I do a full review I will get specific readings.
That is, IF I keep it... your advice; please!
