Hi,
NI has removed all the vintage driver from the their homepage. I can't find any link for downloading Windows 98SE drivers for NI GPIB ISA cards in the net. Any hints where I can find this driver package?

Guessing I would have it archived. What is the cards part number and I will check to see.

Thank you Joe. Meanwhile a forum member helped me to get the driver package.
And I learned my lesson (again): Save every Software you have downloaded in your own archive, even when the company offered all their released software on their site since decades without any restrictions. Never trust that this will last for ever!

I've not checked but they used to have an FTP site. You may find some of these old versions there if it's still active.

I am also looking for a driver for a NI PCI GPIB card for windows XP service Pack 3 and/or windows 7. The card assembly number is 182820C-01. Any help is much appreciated. Thank you.

Are you able to post that driver here, or a link to it? I may even be trying
to use my N.I. 8-bit ISA Slot GPIB card under DOS to transfer scripts to

NI in the past disabled some web sites / ftp because of too much traffic / buzz around it, to @ all download what you need and archive them or host them somewhere safe like ko4bb ...

while it last ?

What software would you recommend to use with an HP E2050A, which is supposed to be a VXI-11 gateway?

python-vxi11.

You can also use pyvisa and pyvisa-py (the latter is an all-python driver, in the sense that NI-VISA or Agilent VISA would be a driver, for pyvisa).

I know the person running that part of the business - a dangerous waste of space. NI is a company in trouble and will probably be a target at some point in the next few years. Essentially they have a complex test platform that fewer and fewer people see the need to a) pay for and b) waste their time constantly paying for people to fix it.

Labview will be interesting. Its a valuable asset. What happens to it eventually will be interesting to see.

PCII/IIA and Win XP/7 driver... forgone it. I have trouble with this card an Win98se & IEEE488.2 1.7.
Of coruse, PCII/IIA is cloned by many company (upD7210 based card) and NI didn't feel like support this card. Only very old NI488.2 support him.

Both link have only 48h lifetime. Please, save it. I got 2.3 from a people. Version 2.2 was downloaded by NI, before NI has banned it.

Yeah learned that the hard way.

I scored a cheep NI GPIB to ethernet converter box and later on figured out that its essentially impossible to make it work on a modern system. The Base10 ethernet port did work with my network but the way it gets an IP is weird and didn't work and the only drivers i could find for it turned out to be for win 98. So its a paperweight now.

Later on went and got a more modern Agilent GPIB to Ethernet converter box. That thing got its IP from DHCP and had its configuration in a webpage it hosts. I never want to sell that thing, especially with how rare they are for a reasonable price.

Thats why sometime we have to keep old pc's with win 95 / win 98 ....

For me i had to build Dos+win95, Dos+win98 and Xp virtuals machines worked 95% most of the times ... now the problems is finding theses pesky drivers we need for the "old stuff"

Dumped recently an 486 dx2 pc, just served until the end of 2019

managed to get a more recent software at a mere 12K $$$ upgrade loll

From what I understand Windows ME is the latest os that can be used, is this correct?

I found that one, and 2.2 as well (from NI ftp), but it seems it doesn't support ISA boards.
From what I understand from the documentation at ftp://ftp.ni.com/support/gpib/ni488220/ , version 2.0 is the last one supporting ISA boards, am I right?
Does anyone have the ISO?

If you really need to use an ISA bus GPIB controller, according to the NI-488.2 for Windows Version 15.0 Readme, it supports the ISA bus AT-GPIB/TNT (PnP) on Windows XP SP3.

I don't know if any newer versions of NI-488.2 still support the ISA bus AT-GPIB/TNT (PnP).

I'm looking at the files in

and it seems to me that 377119.zip is the version 2.0 that I was looking for...
