hello,
as you got in contact with Fnirsi support, could you suggest them the following:

1. Is it possible to automatically save current settings on power off?
2. Internal generator has significant DC offset. Do you plan remove it?
3. In current FW (3.0) it not possible to see FW version.  Maybe show it on startup screen?

I don't think it is a good idea.
DSO2512G does it and I think it's a very good idea.
This is one of the reasons why working with the Zeeweii is quite pleasant.
A very fast "Auto" function is another reason.

lets assume that you enter such mode where device is not running normal, for now you can power off-on, but if this will be saved you go on circle.

I have two quite serious oscilloscopes (RIGOL DS2072A and FLUKE PM3384A)  both of them have preinstalled settings, none of them save on power off.

have you tried to use DPOX180H on 10-20-50s timebase? I think it is quite useless especially on 50s, device not responding properly.

I see what you mean, but I've had the DSO2512G for 7 months now and nothing like this has ever happened (That's another reason why I like the Zeeweii).
If it did happen (unlikely), then I could probably remove the battery connector.

it depends on setting, and this is configurable. i don't mind if in DPOX180H will have same feature - but this will change menu stucture.

I see what you mean, but I've had the DSO2512G for 7 months now and nothing like this has ever happened (That's another reason why I like the Zeeweii).
If it did happen (unlikely), then I could probably remove the battery connector.

Well, there is already a menu option (Menu|Systemsettings|Save current configuration) to save the current settings for restoring at start-up. One extra item (Save settings automatically when powering off) is not a big deal.



RIGOL DS2072A  does save settings

hello is dpox180h able to measure the amplitude of a spike using cursors like i did (points A - B) with the dso2512g? and return the correct dY value? see picture attached.

actually it is delta.
the cursors behavior I explain to myself the following: both cursors work for both channels simultaneously, so system calculates delta via multiplying vertical sensitivity of each channel with geometrical distance between cursors.

Thats correct. The cursors at the DPOX are different than the cursors in the Zeewei.
For the DPOX it is stated (bold is mine):

Therefore, when measuring, it is necessary to measure the voltage cursor of the channel separately to obtain an accurate value.
V1V2 is the vertical sensitivity set according to channel one and channel two; to measure the voltage value of the range selected by the cursor
So you cannot subtract the cursor's values.

See the image where the same  5Vpp sine signal is applied to both scopes.

And that's why I state that the cursor function is not right implemented at the Fnirsi scope.
You mean the  S in the CSR at the right top of the letter S at the lower vertical cursor?

CSR = all direction keys only control the cursor
S at the lower cursor line: means, the lower cursor bar is selected to move (press auto in csr-mode to switch to the upper cursor line).

Cursor lines are always green and not associated with channel colors.

But the channel 2 cursor is relative to the channel 2 waveform, which doesn't even exist in this example. So could I basically have two channel 1 cursors by having the vertical scale and vertical offset of both channels identical, but I still need to subtract them myself?

Also are the cursors not color coded to the channel, what is 'S' here?

Sorry, Ok, now I finally get it, it shows the delta between the cursors but for each channel. That is really weird, especially since as you point out there's no way to get an actual value for the cursor. I guess you could place one cursor on 0? Is that how the cursors also work horizontally?

Nope there is only one time base so for horizontal cursors both the time difference (T) and the frequency (F=1/T) are displayed.
But you can only move the cursor lines, not set it to a value.
