I have finished my own package with some accessories , and cut some of the foam inside the box to fit them  :)
Again, here are photos, if my ideas would be usefull for some of you  :-+

Hello,
Sorry to dig up this topic, I have posted into it in 2022, then I have gave up the idea to buy this DP10007 (and other diff. probes).

For 2024: again I'm looking forward to buying a Differential probe, and I don't know if they have fixed the CMRR problem since ?
Maybe someone has bought a new one recently ?

I saw that a new model has come up (MDP700) but I don't like the big BNC part, to use on a portable DSO.
The output cable are really short.
And also, I think the "UI" is not as good as the DP series (leds seem to be very small to see them, and the button seem not to be as great).

So, thanks for any information/advice someone can give me (even on other brands)  :-+

Micsig just sent me an MDP series probe. Haven't tried it yet. I think they just gave up on the DP series.
I'm a little confused - the Micsig website identifies the DP series as the 'new' products, and has the MDP series listed under their 'History (old)' product section...  But the 'new' DP series looks nothing like DP1007 probe I have - the new ones look like the MDP series.

I hate it when vendors swap products around but leave the model number the same.

I also just noticed that the new MDP series output signal is 1/2 of the prior DP series (7V -> 3V), which equates to the DP10007 10X/100X probe now equivalent to the MDP701 20X/200X probe - both have 70V / 700V ranges.  The change in attenuation from 100X to 200X for the same voltage rating is a bit confusing to me.  I would have originally guessed that a larger output signal would provide better S/N measurements - ie 0-3V (seems like it should be 3.5V ?) now represents 0-700V at the 200X setting.  That means that every 1V at the scope equates to 200V measured...

I'd really be interested in a review video on these new models - especially how they compare to the old models and also how they compare to the Sapphire probe.

FYI, the DP10007 with x10/x100 was made at my request to match the specs of the Sapphire HVP70 I sell. Seems they did't bother doing that again for the new MDP range.

I recall you mentioning they produced the original at your request...  Odd that they apparently decided to continue offering a model with the 70V/700V ranges but changed the output scale from 10X/100X to 20X/200X by cutting the output signal in half.  Either they had trouble meeting your original specs or perhaps they standardized on their new amplifier platform that seems to be an offshoot of their "SigOFIT" isolated fiber optic probes  - I note all their other models for higher voltage ranges also output a ~3V signal (I still think 3.5V must be the actual output level).   Given the lower output headroom, I wonder if this is an area where new 12bit scopes might provide some advantage?
