Fluke 345 PQ clamp meter issue
« on: October 21, 2018, 08:43:30 pm »
I was trying to measure the power of an induction heater with the power clamp attached to the induction coil and the clamp's jaw started giving funny reading then i stopped measuring the power and realized it was heating up the jaws and started smelling like burnt plastic  :palm:

Now it's reading a bit off (5.01 A instead of 5.32 A for example) could I have damaged the unit or will a re-calibration do the trick? The meter is under warranty anyway and there are no signs of physical damage.

What to do?
