It's the ATTEN ADS1102CAL with other name, so use EasyScope.

I will update the list, so please contribute  ;)

What is EasyScope?

Atten/Siglent's trashy PC application for their scopes.

And since Atten/Siglent did a few OEM deals this application appears here and there on the market. I doubt this rather pointless list will grow much larger.

So, so far you missed at least LeCroy and B&K Precision, how many more had you missed?

My first objective is make connections between brands, to find clones, or DSOs that simple are based on same software.

So for making a list of DSOs that use EasyScope for me make sense, and no, isn't "rather pointless".

Lecroy is one of those OEM deals he was talking about, and since B&K often rebadge some random piece of OEM equipment, this likely includes them, too.

What should I have missed? These are all the same oscilloscope, all known for a long time, all made by Atten/Siglent (Siglent just being another brand name from Atten).

The point is, you have it totally backwards. There isn't some company making that trashy EasyScope application and then selling it to multiple oscilloscope manufacturers. There aren't clone manufacturers at work, stealing poor Atten/Siglent's design (Atten isn' exactly a virgin here, but that is another story, the story why there is Siglent). There is just one manufacturer, calling himself sometimes Atten, sometimes Siglent, manufacturing the oscilloscopes, and making that EasyScope software. And when Atten/Siglent does an OEM deal they just throw that EasyScope software into the package as part of the deal. End of story.

You might think you are on to something, some mystic company making EasyScope, and oscilloscope manufacturers flogging to it. Or someone stealing Atten/Siglent's design. But there is nothing. There is no mystery. There is no cloning going on. These scopes aren't based on the same software. They are the same. Just badge engineering you see every day in the low-end instrument business.

You might find five more oscilloscopes for your list, all using EasyScope. I doubt it, but lets say you will. Congratulation, you will just have found five more times the very same Atten/Siglent oscilloscopes. And of course you will have that stupid EasyScope-compatible list published here, of scopes who aren't Easy-Scope compatible, but who are just the same.
I delete PMs unread. If you have something to say, say it in public.

@ all

I'm not saying that they are not the same, I just like to know the extent of brands that use lets call it ATTEN and sell it.
Also some of these scopes have only 32bit drivers, others have also 64bit, are things like that that made me curious.
Search for scopes that use EasyScope proved to be an easy way of finding these scopes.

Don't know why such reception for the post, I can only think that I missed something, but don't worry any more, I will not update this topic any more.

I really think that is best to remove it from the forum, it's clear that it don't have any meaning, I'm being sincere.

If any administrator can delete this topic I would appreciate.

Best Regards,
BxS

BxS: Don't worry about it. Update the post if you feel like doing it.

What happened is that BoredAtWork read your post and posted some of his unpleasant and negative replies.
I feel they have turned somewhat more nasty lately, but as long as the moderators don't mind, there's not much we can do about it except ignore them.

Ignore bad behavior by Bored At Work. Obviously he is BORED, and just stirring the pot. Please continue your posts and know that unless Dave decides your posts are not relevant, they are welcome and encouraged here. Bored At Work has the option to ignore what he is not interested in, so he must be interested or he wouldn't be replying and wasting his and our time with "useless posts", yours or his.

Despite his blunt manner I'm glad BordAtWork posted.

I didn't know that Siligent are the same as Atten and although I know rebadging goes on, I didn't know that LeCroy branded Atten 'scopes. I suppose this makes buying Atten/Siligent a safer bet than I previously thought as they're endorsed by decent manufacturers. This puts them in a similar league to Rigol.

Endorsement doesn't say anything about the support, though. If you buy a Lecroy branded scope, you can be sure they'll send you a new one if it breaks down while still in warranty. Same for documentation, software and questions. Not sure how Atten handles this (I believe tinhead had some negative comments about this in another thread). Rigol's support seems to range between adequate and non-existent, though, so maybe they are in the same league ;).

I believe the Siglent name was introduced because Atten got some bad publicity due to the Rigol copyright infringement judgment against them.

You're right, you're paying for the support as well as the name by buying from Lecroy.

I don't care about silly legal disputes between companies about copyright.

A bit offtopic: how did you managed to get the scope working on Wine? Wine isn't supposed to communicate with hardware directly.

I see some of you out there have had some luck getting Easyscope to work with the ADS1102CAL. I have written to Atten but so far have not had a reply. The Easyscope software loads and runs alright, and the messages say there is a connection and there is an ATTEN present, but hit connect and it says there is no one at home. The USB driver loads on XP but not on Windows 7. Anyone else with the same problem? I used the USB driver from the CD that came with the scope.

Hi, if you had written a email to us ATTEN.EU you might have got your answer a lot quicker.
You need a 64bit USB driver to connect. just send us a email.

We always ship our units with the latest software ( from the EU ).
If you did not purchase a unit from us but still like to own the Easyscope V3 software ( including the 64bit driver ) please check :

"just send us a email."  -  What? where is that email contact??
To contact with that shop people have to do by a form, no email address is given!
How can people trust it, if not even a email address is given in contacts shop website?  :o

But what is the problem with a contact form where we reply on your email?
If you have some issue with us please let us know.
we never had any complaint!

Ok in the "customer-service" may have the email, but is this first place to search for contacts?

For contacts we go to the main page, ok don't exist any contact, but the next best thing is the "Contact Us":
http://www.atten.eu/index.php/contacts/

So where is the email?

This is the logical place for contacts, email, phone, physical address etc...

But what is the problem with a contact form where we reply on your email?

we never had any complaint!

No problem with the form, may exist people that don't mind using it, I have problems with the form when is the only way of contact listed, nothing else.

I don't have any issue with you, the only one is about contacts, let's be honest, you go to a company/shop/etc website, then go to contacts and don't exist any email, or even phone or a address, the only thing is a form! I think is short.

I never, nor will ever buy something online on a shop that at least don't have a email listed, ok this is personal but I think I'm not alone.

Now I know your shop email, so about your shop this is past.

You don't need to look at my posts as a complaint, look as an observation/suggestion, I really think that simply putting email in contacts page would make a big difference.

Regards

Hi you are right! It will make a difference if you show your email address more.
I have changed the page so it will include our email address.
( I am not a webshop programmer so I need to ask someone how to do this neatly ;-) )

So no complaints taken and thank you for your advise!

Siglent have been saying that they are "the biggest Oscilloscope manufacturer (ODM) in the world" for a long time..
If it's really, your job may to be a huge amount of work.

I have posted the EASYSCOPE 3 64bit USB Driver on the FORUM a couple of times .

If anyone wants the 64bit Driver just PM me with your Email address and I will send you a copy.

I should point out that I am running it under WINDOWS 7 with out any problems but can't say it will work under any other platform.

ALL THE BEST

Just a note to those reading this topic - seems that EasyScopes, while keeping the GUI and the general workflow, may be different, and specific to particular manufacturers/models; for instance from https://www.eevblog.com/forum/chat/siglent-sds1102cm-and-easyscope/:

Quote
Well, I went for the SIGLENT SDS1102CM in the end.The only annoying thing with it so far is the EasyScope 3.0 software.
The bundled CD version is in Chinese, it links OK but I can't read the buttons.
I downloaded English versions from SIGLENT, ATTEN and LeCroy but none of them will link properly with the scope :(
I get one Green light only when I test the connection and then the Link Fails when I hit the connect button.
Looks like communication is only going one way.

My Chinese is not good :-)
How to obtain English version without paying?
