Yes, but I really wanted it that way and no other way....
Tomorrow I'll try it manually.
I'm sorry I haven't done any more tests with the device yet, but I've really got stuck on the LAN thing.
DHCP doesn't work, neither does manual, so I contacted ET, who are currently very helpful, even if the communication itself is a bit sluggish (a Chinese is talking to a German and both can barely speak English....)
They sent me the 111-page manual, the SCPI protocol and a new firmware for the front unit, since then I know that there are four sections, each with its own firmware.
I installed them this morning, but somehow it had no effect.
Since ET themselves sent me instructions on how to configure the LAN interface manually, I assume that DHCP doesn't work anyway.
Since they also sent me the SCPI list with the update and the instructions, I assume that the device does not have a web server and that I will always get the message "Connection refused" when I enter the IP address in my browser.
So I started PuTTy and entered the IP I specified there - doesn't work either....
Now they want to send me a video tomorrow on how to do it.
