TL866cs minipro config word setting

Just got a tl866cs and tried to set config bits for a pic16f684 the minipro has a config screen with blank squares   you can tick them but be warned ticking the box actually means 0 an unticked box means 1
so when using pickit 3 and its software you set the bits to 1 as required but with a tl866 you leave blank the set bits and tick the  0 bits if that makes any sence ...example 16f684
11  10  9  8  7  6  5  4  3  2  1  0   config bits
  0   0   0  0  1  1  0  0  0  1  0  0  pickit 3
  T   T   T   T  B  B  T  T   T  B  T  T  tl866cs  T=Tick  B=left blank

in both programmers return config word 30C4
so if you use a different programmer  before watch out for the way you set the config bits in a tl866cs
Also does anyone know what the Calibration  word disable tick box is for ie what use is it
ps if you have trouble trying to program ic make sure check device id is not ticked as  sometimes this works
