DER DE-5000

So I finally bit the bullet and bought one.

Compared to the readings of an HP 4275A, it's pretty much dead on.

Not sure why I waited so long to buy one, yet, built several ESR meters that just aren't cutting it.

Yeah, I would say even compared to the UT-612. The DER EE DE-5000 has true four wire measurement available. To me that trumps any of the benefits of the UT-612.

Actually I don't know of the actual benefits of the UT-612. I only know that it doesn't do 4 wire measurements.

And what about compared to the Tonghui TH2822A? (similar price to a bundled DE5000, 4 wire measurement support and hackable to 100kHz).
(I opened a thread about TH2822A vs DE5000, but nobody replied)

Hmmm, I don't see them as close to the same price. You can get the DER EE DE-5000 with the normal "Kevlin" clips, the Kevlin tweezers, and the the guard lead for around $120 shipped. The TH2822 with a USB cable and the power adapter (no Kelvin probes) is at least $180 shipped.
