Cheap Chinese LMX2594 based 15GHz sweep generator.
« on: February 20, 2024, 06:43:32 pm »
Does anyone have the pictured sweep generator? I'm looking for more information about if there is a better firmware for it etc.

Sadly I have a problem with the main sweep function. One would expect the setting to either set how long it stays on each step or how long the whole sweep takes, but no. It is sort of random and varies depending on what the frequency step is set to. Also it seems to overflow every 255ms (if it is set to 255ms it is fairly slow, then on 256ms it is very fast) and max value is 9999ms

I have a pretty old HP spectrum analyzer so I'd like to set the sweep to fairly slow (100ms on every step for example or 30s the entire sweep). Instead I get semi random delays in the range between 10ms up to maybe 100ms.

If anyone has any ideas, perhaps a schematic (if I had one I could consider writing my own firmware) I'd love to find out. I know it is based on lmx2594, but that's it.
