Brymen BM869 - Australia Retail Price - $806 + GST

Hi there,

Was curious regarding the retail price for this unit (lost bid for OZ ebay unit, computer developed problems at bid time  ), Called Cabac (wholesaler) who put me onto local outlet & this was the price given for a cash sale (maybe the guy got it wrong). I can't see Brymen doing too well in OZ if this is the case.

Just to make sure this was not a mistake I was put in contact with someone else who normally only sells to business, but the best he could do for me was $695 + GST.

Forgot to add but the Brymen BM 869 over here in OZ gets a lifetime warranty ( not sure of the fine print for that).

One more thing to add & hopefully that's the last your hear from me , the subject area should say "Wholesale", not retail (anyway to change that?)

Agreed Carrington, did a cost price from there the other day & for the unit itself $245 OZ. So with shipping & insurance somewhere around the $300 OZ mark.
I pointed this out to the people I spoke to.

Australia Emona sells them too under a different brand name. Can't remember the price though. Have a look at their site.

Good info. Wytnucls, it appear (only going by image) to be named the Metrel MD-9050, & its a blue holster/surround. Price given is $314.60 inc. GST, a much better price than the wholesaled Brymen.

The Brymen BM869 & Metrel MD9050 are completely different meters.

For a start, the MD9050 is only 6000 count.

I've ordered from tme to Canada, good people and cheap shipping.  There was no direct payment web checkout for Canada, so I did have to muddle through using french and english to communicate, but they got my order out fast (iirc 2 dmms and 2 connections kits was $27 CAD for shipping)

I purchased my BM869 from tme.eu but it took more than two months for the meter to arrive and they didn't answer my calls or emails when it went to the wrong address. So ordering from them can be a bit painful if something goes wrong but I would buy from them again.

If you do not wish to deal with tme, then I know that you might be able to get one from Franky Tong, aka iloveeletronics here on the forums. He also runs an ebay store http://stores.ebay.com/99centHobbies and he is probably the nicest and most responsible person I have had the pleasure to do business with. PM him to see.

I purchased my BM869 from tme.eu too, without any problems, excellent treatment. In my opinion highly recommended.
