I'm thinking of buying an 37XR which is 10,000 count and has a bunch more features. They seem to go for around $150 online.
Since I also live in Canada, I understand the
gouging pricing challenges we have.
I managed to get two brand new Meterman 37XRs for about $30 USD each. I don't have them anymore, but they were fine meters for $30. At $150, you have more choices.
For $150, I suggest you check your local kijiji for a Fluke 87V. Don't be shy in making offers on them despite the asking price. The 87V is 20,000 count in high resolution mode, supports relative and measures up to 10,000uF. Getting a 87V for $150 will require patience though.
PS. Dave did a video review of the 37XR way back in episode #6 (right around the time I discovered the channel).
